Heishi beading is an ancient practice developed by the Kewa Pueblo people. The word ‘Heishi’ translates to shell necklace in the Eastern Keresean language of the Santo Domingo Indians. The intensive process required skilled artisans to hand make each Heshi adornment. The necklace can be worn at 16" total length & adjusted down to 14" total length making it perfect for layering with other necklaces.
